Children (8-11): $219 USD per person
Enjoy the swim of your life with these amazing gentle giants on this professionally guided and highly sought after tour. There are few experiences in the world that match swimming alongside the largest fish in the ocean—especially when that fish is named after a shark (GASP)!
Is it dangerous to swim with Whale Sharks?
Not at all! Whale sharks are known as the "gentle giants" of the ocean and they are filter feeders - meaning they feed on small plankton and tiny micro-organisms. Despite their enormous mouths, whale sharks pose no risk to humans. Plus, with an average swimming speed of about 3 mph, and keeping in mind the fact that they are already accustomed to swimming alongside humans, these animals are very docile and harmless.
What’s included:
• Snorkel equipment, wetsuits
• Snack
• Full “Baja style” lunch
• Flavored waters
• Professional bilingual guides
• Round trip transportation in an air-conditioned van from Los Cabos to La Paz (approximately 2 hours each way). AirBnb guests will be assigned a meeting location.
If swimming with whale sharks is at the top of your bucket list, there simply is no better tour in Cabo than this one! The tour stretches all the way from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz, starting on land where you’ll get a visual introduction to the Baja landscape on your way to the water. The drive takes about two hours and is filled from start to finish with gorgeous isolated desert views.
Once you’ve arrived in La Paz, the expert tour guides will brief you on everything you need to know about the whale shark experience. After that, you will take a short and beautiful boat ride to the areas where these magnificent animals are found, and you’ll get a chance to go snorkeling RIGHT ALONG SIDE the whale sharks. Jumping in and swimming beside these massive (and peaceful) creatures truly is one of the most amazing experiences you will ever have. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, rays, whales, and other sea life along the way!
